Yuval Yairi (born in Israel 1961), lives and works in Jerusalem.
Yuval Yairi studied visual communication at the WIZO College Haifa (1984-1988), managed a design studio in Jerusalem (1988-1999) and produced and directed short films and documentaries until 2004. Since 2004 Yairi has devoted his work to research and artistic activity, primarily in mediums of photography and video. His works are exhibited in museums, galleries and festivals in Israel and abroad, and are in public and private collections. The subject of Yuval Yairi’s work often relates to a specific place, and his gaze - whether it is a historical place, cultural, personal or political - explores the place in the context of memory. A Leper Hospital or a writer’s study room, an abandoned Arab village, a cheap hotel room or a museum undergoing renovation - all go through his personal perspective, deconstructing and recomposing spaces, times and events.

Yuval Yairi is participating in TIME, SITE & LORE 2016-17 working with the Oar from the Fursund ferry.
