Contemporary art in untraditional places and locations around Nissum Fjord
MEETINGS 2019
I løbet af MEETINGS anden halvdel 2018–19 blev der skabt blev der skabt en række nye værker som blev vist på MEETINGS-festivalen 30. august – 8. september 2019. Festivalen præsenterede desuden en række tidligere producerede værker, der alle har fokus på ’stedet’ og/eller ’mødet’. I alt blev det til visning af 42 værker skabt af 49 kunstnere fra 17 forskellige lande og vist på 27 utraditionelle udstillingssteder rundt om Nissum Fjord så som lader og fiskerhytter mm. Festivalen åbnedes den 30. august i Thorsminde, og Thorsminde var også basen for det tredages åbne symposium, der indledte festivalen, og som havde deltagelse af en lang række af de kunstnere, der viste værker på festivalen.

MEETINGS 2019
During the second half of MEETINGS 2018-19 a number of new works were created and shown at the MEETINGS Festival 30 August – 8 September 2019. The festival also presented a number of previously produced works, all focusing on ‘ the place ‘and / or’ the meeting ‘. All in all, it amounted to a showing of 42 works created by 49 artists from 17 different countries at 27 non-traditional exhibition venues around Nissum Fjord, such as barns and fishing huts etc. The festival opened on August 30 in Thorsminde, and Thorsminde was also the basis for the three-day open symposium in the beginning of the festival, which featured a large number of the artists exhibiting works at the festival.

”Sound Tracking”, lydperformance og ”Horizontalis”, videoinstallation af Louise K. Wilson (UK) og Michal Kindernay (CZ) med udgangspunkt i deres arbejdsophold i Sdr. Nissum.
”Etude for Vindorgel, Vandorgel og Luftguitar”, videodokumentation af Ragnhild May (DK) og
”Too windy for mosquitoes”, videoinstallation af Douwe Dijkstra (NL) med udgangspunkt i deres arbejdsophold i Thorsminde.
”Vestjyske registreringer” (’Meeting the Meetings’) – fotografiske og arkitektoniske registreringer af Nissum Fjord-området 6. august – 8. september v/ Frank Nielsen, Linda Thi & Mikkel Dencker (DK).
”Man skal sørge for at omkalfatre”, tekst om de forskellige lokaliteter hvor værkerne vistes af forfatteren Malte Tellerup (DK) – find Maltes tekst i programmet.
